From the Heart: My Fears vs My Dreams

-Today is 7-11-11. It’s Monday, it’s Free Slurpee Day at 7/11, it’s only a high of 96 degrees, it’s a lot of things today. It’s also a day that I am overwhelmed with intimidation and discouragement. I don’t spend a lot of time visiting other people’s blogs. I try to keep my artistic influences very […]

Jo Julia Ramsey - (*note) And now that I’ve read it – even though you are being honest about your fear, I have full faith in you (and Sarah!) to totally rock this. How crazy exciting for you guys!! This is what life is about!!!!!

Jo Julia Ramsey - AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! About time!!!!!!! I only saw your hand written not in your pic so far, but that is so freaking COOL!!!!!!!

Sarah Allen - Great honest post. Love you ๐Ÿ™‚

Jeff Brandt - On your worst day you’re better than most.

Stacey Moua - The unknown is what scare us. If you never give it a chance, you will never know what you are able to achieve. You’re a great photographer and will do fine.

Eggo Waffles - I battle with these questions all the time; “what if I’m not good enough, what if I never make it?” In an industry (post-production/audio engineering) where only a small percentage even matters how much talent you have, and instead a huge percentage of who you know, I also wonder “what if I never meet the right connections?” etc. It’s hard to not discouraged sometimes… However, I’d rather spend my entire life chasing my dreams, than play it safe and settle for less.

Carli Morgan - And Adam, that’s from experience.

Lynn Sepeda - We don’t know who we are until we see what we can do

Patricia - Powerful from within. God has ur plan. Must be patient and wait in HIS time. Blessings friend await you

Carli Morgan - The worst than can happen in life is that we fail, THEN don’t learn anything from it. Failure is not the bottom. Ignorance is.

Christina - Adam, I really understand where you are coming from, because we went through the same thing a few years ago. That leap is terrifying! The only advice I can really give you that you don’t mention, is to put away enough money for the first year so that if you don’t bring anything in from the photography, that you still can make it. I think you are a very talented photographer, as well as your wife. Only you, Sarah, and God know the answer to this. God Bless You!

Anahy Ruelas - That was touching. I can definitely understand your fears. Everyone has them, but not everyone will admit it. I trust that you will make the best decision. Thanks for sharing.

Elizabeth W - Adam Allen,
For what it’s worth, I think your heart is right. God will answer and provide. He ALWAYS provides. ๐Ÿ™‚

The day my sister became a Mom

Today, June 15th 2011, my little sister became a Mom. It’s kinda of a big deal. I’m also now an Uncle. It’s my intention to be that fun Uncle that gives you candy when your mom won’t. Yeah, I’m that kind of guy. I’m happy for my sister. Seeing little Darien in her arms, it’s […]

Anahy - Its true….you do laugh like a monster. :-p

Monica Allen - Well it’s about six almost seven months later. I never saw this; though I was looking for it after being told about it.
THIS IS A HEART BREAKER/ HEART WARMER? Who knows. It breakes my heart not being a child with you. My favorite memories is when you and I would play video games then suddenly break out in these weird, loud, SpongeBob type laughs! Or when we would catch ourselves finishing eachothers sentences. Or my favorite, do/say the samething at the same time. I miss you being my best friend.
Your right though. Its Darien’s turn to be that kid, and hopefully be that goofy and close with his brother. Thanks for taking me back, and reminding me how much fun it was to be a kid. Love you Adam. Can’t wait for your to spoil my son with the things I refuse to buy him ๐Ÿ™‚

Theresa - What a great view of the day. I will never forget it. She makes such a wonderful mommy ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

Cyndi Medina - Happy birthday Darien! This is such a sweet perspective on the day. You will absolutely love it! Auntie is my favorite, and the most special title I go by.

Kathy Etheridge Dersch - Enjoy! Sometimes it’s more fun being aunt and uncle than parents. ๐Ÿ™‚

Terrie Puhek - Tears for me too.. What a wonderful brother and uncle they have…

Zackbrooke Davidann Fuller - tears. This is beautiful.

Rhonda - Wow. Thanks for making me cry!
Darien is one blessed little guy to have you for an uncle.

Janira - This too made cry. This was sweet and touching, Darien is lucky to have such s thoughtful uncle. You’ll be a great dad one day too! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks got sharing this with us

Sarah Beaumont Hodson - That made me cry! Beautiful job and I’m sure this will go in the baby book ๐Ÿ™‚ Congrats again “Uncle Adam” to you and your whole family!

Sarah - I love you and this is fantastic. Thank YOU for sharing your heart. Looking forward to making good memories with you and Darien.

Sharon Watson Prichard - That was beautiful, Adam!

Alexandrea Jewels Rodriguez - Adam, you are the best cousin anyone could ever ask for. This made me cry! You’re gonna be one cool uncle ๐Ÿ™‚

Kathy Shankland Glascock - Adam that was beautiful. I cried as I read it. Congratulations Uncle Adam. ๐Ÿ™‚

Val McCormick - Congratulations Uncle!!!

A trip to visit new friends, family, and a talk about Jesus and Modern Christianity

This weekend (5-27-2011) Sarah and I got to meet with Christina and Daniel. We met them to discuss capturing their wedding day. In other words, being their wedding photographers. It was especially exciting because Christina is the sister of one of Sarah and my best friends, Diana. Click the link dude, you’ll probably recognize her. […]

Vanessa - This is awesome, Adam! I am thankful that Carlos and I have not only found wedding photographers, but also new friends that hold our same convictions. Anahy - Very cool man. I like that you expressed yourself on such a complicated and personal subject but lightened the mood by using words like dude and crap. :-p Thanks for sharing.
