I’m excited to share with you my “Bring the Light” workshop! Shooting with one main artificial light is a huge part of my style. In this workshop I will teach you how to use the same lighting techniques, and other photography philosophies I’ve learned, to enhance your own style. This class will apply to most genres of photography and will be a great resource to all photography students.

Where: Downtown Fresno California at Agape Studios

When: Nov. 8th. From 11am-7pm.

Registration: $279 early registration or $379 the day of.

Course Content:
– Photography ground work
– Philosophy (What makes a photo “good”)
– Artistic influences – Choosing the right heroes
– Photography Composition (applicable with or without artificial light)
– Fostering Creativity
– Introduction to light modifiers
– Artificial light theory and science
– How to shoot with one main artificial light
– How to use artificial light to mimic natural light
– Recognizing and using natural light situations as you would artificial light
– Location shoot with model
– Question and Answer forum.

Provided: Pens, notebooks, and lunch.

Requirements: DSLR camera and familiarity with shooting in Manual Mode. This class will be kept small, safe, and intimate. Which means space is limited. You will want to register as soon as possible to guarantee your seat. This class will not be covering photo re-touching. We will be spending most of our time discussing composition and the science and theory of using artificial light, and capturing a good photograph “in-camera” first. Lunch will be provided. We will have hands on demonstrations of the lessons we learned in our class, and, as time permits, a portfolio review for students that would like to take part.
